Job Shows 'Active' but has failed 2 days ago

Scenario: Solaris Master server, Windows Media server, Windows Clients, all on NBU 6.5.3.
Synthetic backups for a group of regional clients have been working fine.
The Synthetic Full is running on Windows media server - at this point no comms with client.
We realized this morning that the Synthetic Full has been 'Active' for a couple of days now (showing 99% completed).
Details tab shows the following:

16/12/2009 09:41:59 AM - positioning 1423JB to file 112

16/12/2009 09:47:26 AM - Error bptm(pid=4072) cannot create data socket, 10060       
16/12/2009 09:47:27 AM - Error ACEMsgTran::handleOutput_u(pid=25651) write failed from OUTPUT socket, errno=32(Broken pipe)     
16/12/2009 09:47:28 AM - end synthetic reader 7; read time: 00:06:04
Has anyone seen this before? I don't understand why no failure was registered - not even a timeout...

Try to set network MTU to 1500

I had same problem a few weeks ago, it works for me.

but something that either stuart or andy pointed out to me a few weeks ago.  There actually is a button to edit the OP, but it is towards the top of the page, not where you usually see it when you are replying to someone's post.

Just an update - the customer is currently in a freeze period and no changes to any servers are allowed. We will only be able to implement changes after 11 January...
