HI Guys,

 

We recently upgrade our NBU from 7.5 to 7.6.1.2. Since this upgrade the activity monitor reports inconsistance data. For example somme child process still in ACTIVE state while parent job is successfull finished. If we look in child job detail, it's finished successfully and all image is available in the catalog fort restore. The problem is reported on all our policies.

It's similar to this case https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH203521 in 7.5 version.

 

I report these entries in bpobd logs:

15:13:24.778 [3041] <16> <tid:139972135388928> JobCache::updateJob: unable to update job ID 451
15:13:24.778 [3041] <16> <tid:139972135388928> move_active_to_done: unable to move job ID 451 to DONE state

Hi all,

 

I have an answer for support:

This issue has been seen before in NetBackup 7.6.1.2 and an EEB fix was provided, however it was for Windows operating systems.

They are working on a Linux's version!

Hi,

I got the same issue "jobs staying in active or queued state" in 7612.

The issue gone by itself whitout any action the 2015/11/20 at 5:04 PM.

Do you still have the issue?

Did you get any information interresting from the TSE?

The support provide me with an EEB but did not fix issue. We still work on other soluton.
