Labelling a tape standalone > robot

All,

Could this potentially work?

I need to run a 1 off backup at one of my sites which has a standalone drive, I'm planning to label the media with a spare barcode label I have, eg. CR2578

I'm going to restore the backup at my main site which has a robotic library.

If I label the media as CR2578 & then prefix a barcode label of CR2578 will this work when the tape is scanned by my robot?

Thanks.

& visible to your NetBackup environment?

You could possibly attack this another way - label the tape in your library. Load the tape in your standalone & then vmphyinv your standalone to read the label?

You've probably already seen this:

Satandalone drive isn't visable.

Yeah I've done it that way before, was just trying to be clever!

Cheers,
