Looking to open Master server GUI by using V config command from Putty

Hi All,

I'm a new joinee and I got the server access for all the unix servers. I'm unable to open the GUI Netbackup 7.6 version. Could you plz helo me with the command that we can be able to access GUI servers using the command "V config". Could you please take me thru the full process how to do it?

Actually this access will be given by the Unix team. But before that I want to know how I can access to GUI for the particular Master server. Please take me thru the whole process. Thank You.

Best to install the Java Console on your Windows desktop.

You will find it on the Windows Installation media under Addons\JavaInstallFiles.

Hi Marianne Thank you for you quick reply. I heard that initially we need check out username is saved in root or not. And then we need to do authorization for self using the command "authconfig". Am I correct or do we have any other process to follow?

Never heard of such a command. Probably auth.conf file that needs to be modified? You can read up in NBU Admin Guide I about this file and how to add user names.
