Lotus-Notes Policy type.

HI All,

We have confiured standard policy ( daily full backup ) for domino messaging server.What are the benefits of taking backup with lotus notes policy type.

Please recommened some best practices in taking the domino backup efficiently.

If you use Standard Policy Lotus Notes should be shut down for the duration of the backup.

If you backup while online, there is no guarantee that a restore will work. Even if you get status 0.

Thanks Marianne for your comment. Very recently we have taken the Handover of Messaging infra we found the backup is taken in standard policy type. Started reading the pdf. Please give me some time to get back to you.
