My SQL backup

HI I have Linux client Linux 2.6.32-220.e16.x86-64, NBU 7.6

My SQL version 14.14 Distrib 5.1.61 is running on it. 

Master and media @ NBU 7.6.0.3, SOlaris 10.

I need to take backups of my SQL DB, is Zamanda only way to take online backups ?

Zmanda is the only agent-based option available.

netbackup "supports" only the Zmanda backup.

But oracle had developed an API backup solution similar to oracle rman backup. It is working with netbackup and other backup softwares, but you will not find any support from netbackup team.

We just opted for local MYSQL backups and then their backup from Netbackup.
