NB 4.5 - cannot connect to client anymore

Hi,

ive NB4.5 running on Windows 2000 with 3 clients. Works fine. Since few days i cant connect to clients anymore.

What ive changed on the Master Server:
i changed the primary DNS Suffix of windows. i dont know if it has something to do with it, but we did no other changes. Well there no Problem in DNS, name resolution to the clients works fine.

Any ideas ?

Can the clients resolve the master server? Any firewalls in place?
from the clients:
1) Do nslookup
2) type FQDN of master server
3) do same for reverse lookup (Type ip of master) it should come back with the master server.

Following things can help to determine the exact problem :

1. nslookup from client to master and master to client

2. bpclntcmd from client to master and master to client

3. If both above tests are successful, then increase verbosity in master and client, submit a backup job and monitor the bpcd/bprd logs.
