Hi,
I just installed master server 7.5.0.6 in linux.
What are the installation files name for windows client and patch?
are they NetBackup_7.5_CLIENTS / NetBackup_7.5_Win_zip / NB_7.5.0.6.winnt.x64.exe or what?
Thanks,
IAW

Hi,
I think this is you decision what you prefer. Both of the methods are fine and can be done easily. I think with the Live Update you would have a bit more work to configure this.
So for this amount the push installation should be fine.

Hi IAW,
how much of the clients you have to Upgrade ? You can use the LiveUpdate to install the patches remotly on the server.
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=DOC5156
When you have a lot of clients then you wouldnt have to touch all of them remotly. But for the LU content you would have to download the files from fileconnect.

Hi,
Im doing fresh installation here.
1st master server in linux then update patch,
2nd media servers then update patch.
3rd client servers then also update patch, I have around 80 servers linux and 10 servers win.
What would be the effisient way for installation and update patch?
should I go with LU or push update from master server or what way?
Thanks,
