hello,
finally got the clustered (2 nodes) configured on our window 2016 servers but what im experiencing during failover is that the nbu services are not starting up. im having to manually start the services which defeats the purpose of HA.
2 questions if someone can provide some insight please.
1. do the services have to be linked to a domain service account during installation or can the services just run using Local admin?
2. whats the possible cause that the services are not automatically starting up during failover to the other node.
Thanks
B.

Hi,
If it's a cluster, then WSFC should start the services. If it's starting them and its failing, that can be investigated by checking the system / application event viewer. Have you watched the cluster management console while a failover is happening to see if the resources (NBU services and everything below it) go into online(ing) state?
You need to troubleshoot as it it was not cluster.
If WSFC is actually starting the services, and it fails, you can review the logs of the respective process (bprd, nbemm, relation database, etc ) for clues on why it's failing.

Can we assume that you are referring to a clustered master server?
Have you configured clustered master server as per
NetBackup Clustered Master Server Administrator's Guide ?
