Hi
I'm looking for a configuration that will allow me to backup a NetApp filer over a 10Gb network to a MSDP. The media server is running 7.5.0.6 on linux with locally attached disk on which I have created an MSDP.
I think the problem I'm seeing is that the master server (a linux vm also running 7.5.0.6) is not on the same 10Gb network - the master and media server talk over the corporate 1Gb network. So when I create the NDMP host using the credentials, I do this from the master server and it creates the NDMP host over the 1Gb NIC..... when I kick off a backup I want the media server to only use the 10Gb link. I've created a host entry to resolve the filer name to the IP address of the 10Gb connection but I still seem to be backing up over the 1Gb corporate link and not the 10Gb private network.
Can anyone help with a way that I can ensure the datapath from the NetApp to the media server is over the 10Gb link and not the 1Gb corporate link?
kind regards
