NDMP Connect Failure

First NDMP backup proving to be a challenge...

NBU Enterprise 6.0 MP4 on Windows 2003 backing up a Sun StorEdge 5320

I'm running the first "test" backup of very little data on /array2 using remote NDMP to my master/media server. I've configured the client w/ the "root" (administrator) password, and authtication looks ok.

set_ndmp_attr -verify nas_server
Connecting to host "nas_server" as user "administrator"...
Waiting for connect notification message...
Opening session--attempting with NDMP protocol version 3...
Opening session--successful with NDMP protocol version 3
host supports TEXT authentication
host supports MD5 authentication
Getting MD5 challenge from host...
Logging in using MD5 method...
Host info is:
host name "nas_server"
os type "StorageTek"
os version "Version 4.20 M2 (Build 3) "
host id "ST5320200702140032"
Login was successful
Host supports LOCAL backup/restore
Host supports 3-way backup/restore

When I run the job it mounts a tape, goes to "begin writing" then fails with...

5/9/2007 9:33:08 AM - Error ndmpagent(pid=4572) ndmp_data_connect_v3 failed, status = 23 (NDMP_CONNECT_ERR)

From what I've read of the Netbackup configuration I should be good. I'm not managing the NAS itself, so I'm not sure what options are avalible there.. But is there anything else I should be doing from my end to make this thing work?

Do you install NDMP netbackup patch ?

For Netbackup or the Sun StorEdge?

Netbackup version 6.0 MP4 (I didn't think windows did seperate patches for database clients like Unix?)

Sun StorEdge 5320 version 4.20 M2 (Build 3)

Have you found a resolution to this problem? I am experiencing the same (Linux server and 5210 NAS however.)
