We are running XenServer 6.0 and need a backup solution. We have used NetBackup with our physical servers, and Citrix said that we could use the snapshot backup feature to do snapshots of VM's, easier then a standard NT Backup.
Anyway, after installing the XenVSS Provider, the client and setting up the policy in NetBackup, I get the following error message:
"Snapshot could not be created with VSS Method" - Windows 2003 ENT
What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to fix this. I have been searching Google for hours, and ripped all but about 3 hairs out of my head.
THEN! After that issue, I was doing a regular, fan-fun-tastic backup on another VM for testing, and it can't see any of the backups that I have made to do restores, what is up with that. - Windows 2003 ENT as well.
