NetBackup and Oracle agent

Hello,

I am trying to backup an Oracle 11g database held on a RHEL 5 server using NetBackup 6.0

When the backup job runs, RMAN reports the following errors:

channel ch00: starting piece 1 at 03-FEB-09
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on ch00 channel at 02/03/2009 16:25:27
ORA-19513: failed to identify sequential file
ORA-27206: requested file not found in media management catalog
continuing other job steps, job failed will not be re-run

Any ideas what it causing this error?

I think There is something wrong with the client name.

Please confirm whether the RMAN script is corresponding to the Client setting of Policy.

Yes, quite right.  I had put the client name in bp.conf lower case, but had it upper case in the backup policy. I corrected bp.conf to be upper case and this now works OK.
