Netbackup 6.5 with Windows 2003 R2 DFSr data not getting backed up

Ever since we upgraded from Netbackup 5.0 MP7 to Netbackup 6.5 backups of our DFSroot folder for replication has not been getting caught on tape.  Netbackup doesn't report that anything is wrong it says everything was successfull but there is no data.  Does anyone know why 6.5 can't backup these folders but 5.0 can?  I have found this document from Backup Exec users going to their new version and using DFSr and them having the same problem with the new version.  I am just trying to understand what is going on from the Netbackup standpoint on why no data gets backed up.

This is a known issue in NBU 6.5 and 6.51..
If you call support they have an internal technote on the issue and a 'workaround'

Until this gets fixed, the workaround is to disable the DFSR service on the server during the backup.

Ran into the same problem with our server, you need to set a registry key, as documented here:

Then put "net stop dfsr" in your bpstart_notify.bat and "net start dfsr" in your bpend_notify.bat.  Omit the quotes. :)
