http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO34885  - status 174

1) What exactly are you restoring ?  Are you restoring to the same location or alternate ?

2) Does /root/Downloads/ exist ?

3) Please upload bptm

Confrim that the location you are tyring to restore to is a Diskspace  big enough to hold the Data that you want to do the restore.

We do have enough space available at the restore location.

[root@dfslxb1 ~]# df -h

Our backup data size is ~800MB uncompressed.

We are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (x86_64) on all our machines (client, media server and also on storage servers)

We are trying to backup/restore netbackup logs itself (for testing out) and /root/Downloads exists

Please upload the TAR log from the client and the bptm from the media server

1. The backup images contained mostly text files. We tried restoring to same location as well as alt ernate. In both the scenarios, restoration fails with the same error (Restore: 2800, TAR:174).

2. Yes, /root/Downloads exists!

3. Uploaded in the followup reply below by Joydip!
