Hi,
I have 1 unix server with Oracle database which i would like to take backup over SAN. I also have 4 Hyper-V servers which also needs to be back it up over SAN. Lastly there are 2 SQL servers which i need to take backup over LAN and not SAN. The Server will be over SAN.
My question is does i need to purchase all the enterprise client or can i also purchase standard client for those servers which i can take the backup over LAN?
Also does purchasing enterprise client will support Netbackup Standard server? or does the enterprise client need enterprise server?
Thanks

You can only use Enteprise Clients with the Enterprisee Server version of NetBackup
For servers backing up over the SAN they would need an Enterprise Client license - for those over the LAN they need a Standard Client license
You also need the database pack per application client ot Hyper-V server
But for these you would need the Enterprise Server upgrade first
Chat with your Symantec partner for all prices, Tiering etc
Hope this helps

Enterprise Server" is for master server. To use Enterprise Client, server license must be "Enterprise Sverver".

As suggested by Mark, please speak to your Symantec reseller.
Ask them for NetBackup 7.6 Licensing Guide (External).pdf which can be downloaded from PartnerNet.
