Netbackup restore issue

Hello,

 

I am having an issue when restoring data from a DD860 using Netbackup 7.5.0.1 

I have no issue getting successful backups To the DD860, the issue I have is with restoring data, the restore job never errors but seems to get "stuck" or "frozen' at arbitrary points of the "read" part of the backup process. I have successfully restored smaller machines say an 8GB restore but anything of some size will "stop" at some point during the backup process in "job details", "current kb read will freeze at 4GB...11GB, I have restored as much as 28GB on a 40GB restore, fyi these are all vm restores (two vmdk's in one instance).

Does anyone use the DD860 with a windows 2008 R2 media server ? Anyone seen any issue like this?

I have open issues with both vendors, looking for anyone who has experienced like issues...

Sorry I have not seen something alike. The only thing that I can suggest are

  1. make sure DD OS is latest level
  2. If you are using DD BOOST upgrade plug-in
  3. Make sure LAN between DD and netbackup server is working correctly.
