Netbackup successful completion notification options

Hello,

I have a few reporting jobs that should start immediately after the successful completion of a cold backup in Netbackup 6

Besides an email notification, can Netbackup 6 create any kind of success token on unix to flag the completion of the backup process?

I am not a Netbackup  Admin, but would like to know the options when I work with our Netbackup  team

I'm not sure what else you would be looking for.  By default e-mail notification is all there is.  Nothing else that I know if is built in to the application. 

You could try and customize the script that NBU uses dbbackup_notify.

are you talking the netbackup Cold Catalog backup
or are you talking about some other kind of database backup?

it is the Cold Catalog backup

The email option is available, we might have to go with this for now ...

NBU only provides e-mail notification by design.  As I stated you may be able to modify the script if you want but I would proceed with caution and ALWAYS create a backup of the script before playing with it for a fall back.
