Hi,

Scenario:
I have a Windows 2000 based master server on an HP EVA 4000 storage. This server is robot controller.
Tape library MSL6030 on FC SAN.
HP-UX SAN- MEDIA server with Oracle database.

Two Issue:
1. When I take backup using rman script using Master servers storage unit, i am able to take backup, however when i use the HP-UX media server storage unit, it fails. When i run device configuration wizard, I can see one robot and two drives for Windows Master server and ONLY two drives from HP-UX san media server.
2. When I run jbpSA on HP-UX server and click on the Oracle instance node, I get this error:
/bin/sh:22209 Abort status 134 netbackup message window.
Why doesnt it see the instance or ask for sysdba password?

Please help

NetBackup reads the instances from file /etc/oratab, if the file don't exists you can create a new file with the instances entries like below

i.e. mydb:/opt/oracle/product/10g:N
