Problem deleting SRT and boot server

Hi,

How can I delete an SRT and a boot server if the boot server doesn't exist any more?

If I try to delete the SRT from the java interface it errors with V-123-49 Status 114.

Thanks Peter

I'm also having a problem removing some SRTs...

I've got 3 on a RHEL boot server that are in a "Locked Write" state.  I believe they got to this state as they were aborted new SRT installs.  Whenever I try to delete them I get:

Enter your selection (1-8) [1] : 6
Enter the name of an existing SRT : RHEL
That SRT is in use and cannot be deleted until its lock is released.

Anyone know how to clear the lock they can be deleted?

Regarding the deletion of the SRT, it should have been carried out before the boot server was decommissioned. This is needed since there are some operations a boot server carries out while deleting the SRT. Once the SRTs are gone, you should be able to delete the boot server from the GUI even if the server is no longer there.

Which version of NBU are you facing this issue with? What platform?

Regarding the SRT Locked issue, yeah, this is a known issue.

See if you can repair the SRT using BMR srtadm modify SRT option.

Once the SRT is repaired, you will be able to delete it.

But this totally depends on where the SRT creation was interrupted.

Else, I'd recommend that you open a support case with Symantec and they will give you a script (or a set of commands) to clean those entries.
