Hi,
I'm looking for a documented procedure to perform a disaster recovery of Windows 2008 R2 x64 server, backed up using Veritas Netbackup 6.5.6.
I've tried following a procedure that's documented internally but, so far am unable to restore the system state (the initial volume/file restore steps seem to work fine). When I run the system state restore, the restore itself does not indicate any problems. However, after reboot it's clear the system state is not in fact restored. For example, if properly restored the server should be a domain member, but instead it is not (it's still in the workgroup). Also, there should be global domain groups nested within the local administrators group - but there was no change to local administrators group membership - not even SIDs - just the sole/original local administrator account.
Can you please provide a disaster recovery procedure for Windows 2008 R2 x64 server, backed up using Veritas Netbackup 6.5.6 ?
Thanks!
Tom

See this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87810
BMR support for W2008 was added in NBU 7.0.1.
