PureDisk disk volume constantly going DOWN

LubosDvorak

Hello,

I have a PureDisk disk volume on Hitachi HCP for Cloud S3 appliance.

Suddenly the disk volume went down. I changed its status to UP:

nbdevconfig -changestate  -stype PureDisk -dp disk_pool_name -dv volume_name -state UP

However when NetBackup tries to access this volume its status changes down.

I am not aware of any changes in NetBackup. Another volume configured at the same appliance and bucket is UP and writeable.

Which log should I check?

Thank you,

Lubos

I suggest you try the vxlogview command, there are good examples to find at :

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100017099

The most easy to use is the time based - examples taken from the TN

# vxlogview -p 51216 -b "07/21/23 1:30:00 PM" -e "7/21/23 2:32:00 PM"

# vxlogview -p 51216 -t 01:30:00

Above command list every log that was generated the last 1:30 hour.

Vxlogview can also provide log text depending on OID  (see TN above) - The list of OID's can be found here : https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/86063237-127664549-0/v40600850-127664549
