Remote NDMP question

If I am doing remote (3way) NDMP and I want to use my tape drives for NDMP and non-NDMP backups do I need the Shared Storage Option license for the tape drive(s)?

What version of netbackup are u using? because only 6.5 can run SSO NDMP configuration, on any other version you cannot share NDMP drives.

Thanks, we are on 6.5.1.  Also, is there any way with NDMP to write to a disk stage that is SAN integrated or directly attached to a media server?
