Restore Data (policy Windows) to a NAS (policy NDMP)

Hi,

 

   we want to use NetBackup backup/restore to move data from Windows 2003 Server (backed up with Windows policy) and restore it to EMC Celerra NS80 NAS (restore with NDMP feature).  The main problem, Netbackup try to reach NAS as a Windows instead of NDMP.  Do I need to convert images that a need to restore ?  Does it possible to specify an alternate restore way ?

Under the restore GUI ensure you select the RAW restore, other way it will fail because NDMP is just raw data that cannot be restored partialy you need to restore the full image, also check your detination space if is not enough it will also fail, you will need at least 1.5 times the space of the image that you are trying to restore, also under the client destination check that you selected the type is NDMP and not standard.
