Hi All
I just installed Netbackup 7.5.0.5 and trying to setup the backup MSSQL 2008 databases with VMware policy single pass backup.
The virtual client is Windows 2008 R2 EE 64bit with MSSQL 2008 R2 64bit.
I followed the steps in the MSSQL Admin Guide to set the backup policies and schedules.
I ran backups with VMware policy ("Enable SQL Server Recovery" and "Truncate logs" checked).
I am able to backup the MSSQL databases but when I try to run a restore I can't find the client name I just backed up even thou is listed in the policy.
Is there a more detail setup other than the MSSQL Admin Guide? sorry to say but the Admin guide is not detail enough for me.
Thank you.

There is also a section in the VMware guide when backing up datbase objects.
Quick question, in the BAR what policy type did you select ?

You meant in BAR GUI Under select Client and Policy Types it is not there. Don't presume it would be fetched automatically, this is what we are waiting to see
Instead Click on Edit clients and add there and Save it too.
Now it should be there in drop down.
Set VMware as policy type and check if you are able to see client available as restore for VM
Then check for individual file restores

I use the Java GUI for all my restores. there is no "Edit Client" on this GUI only "Browse"
