Restore get stuck at 'Mounting'

Not applicable
Background: I inherited this system and have limited knowledge of the design of Netbackup. I know how to keep the backups running, and do tape management...let's keep it at that.

Master & Media servers: Windows 2003 Server
NBU 5.1 MP2

We've been trying to restore a file and the job gets stuck at "mounting" and then can't even be canceled without rebooting the master server.
The backup was done with Flashbackup, if that makes a difference. Also, the media server that was used at the time is not in our environment anymore. I suspect this has everything to do with the problem.

Can anyone confirm this?
Or should the restore just be able to piggyback on a different media server?

Thanks in advance.

If the NBU version u are ussing is 5.1 or less will be an issue if when u decom the media server didnt migrate the images and medias DB to the master server or any other active media, your restores will not go trough because they will search for the backup image on the orginal media server.

If u move the DB's to other media you will need to use the

FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER = <orginal media> <new target media>

if not, u must start import on those tapes.

Hope this helps.
