Hello everyone,

I've noticed that every time i try to restore a folder or file to a different location i get the messages below.

Standard policy restore error(2800)

The only way i've been able to get around this is by restoring the folders/files to the local drive on the backup server.

I then map a drive to the proper server and copy the folders/files over.

It also works if i restore to the original location.

I tried putting the server name and ip address on the local host file of the backup server.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Is a backup of the destination client working? Is NBU Client Service and Legacy Client Service running? And Symantec Private Branch Exchange service? Is Windows Firewall turned off on destination client?

Hi Marianne,

Thanks for the responds.

Firewall is disabled on the destination client.

All services you mentioned are running on the backup server.

Is it possible that the issue might be the way i selecting the policy type, source client, etc.

Thanks,

Marianne

The problem is with connectivity to destination client: "Cannot connect to tmeserver" Please test connectivity to tmeserver from the media server with: bptestbpcd -client tmeserver -debug -verbose Create bpcd log folder before running the test. Show us contents of bpcd log and output of command.
