Scheduled Policy End Time

Hi.
I've a scheduled policy that starts (Start Time) on Mon at 20:00 and will finish (End Time) Tue at 5:30.
Some times, job correctly finished over 'End Time' I've defined.
Is it the normal behavior for NetBackup, isn't it?

When 'End Time' parameter in 'Start Window' is used?
Need I to adjust 'Start Time' and 'End Time' to avarage time needed for the policy?

Regards.

The "end time" of the backup window is the latest time that a backup may START. Once a backup starts it will continue until it finishes. If you need the job to finish by the end time, you have to estimate the length of time the average backup runs and adjust the end time back this many hours. Hope this helps.

Yep, it helps. Smiley Wink
I cannot find this information in Netbackup docs.

Thank you so much.

It also means jobs that are part of another job will not start after the End Time.
You will usually see these jobs a queued. Suppose your backing up three clients. Each client is a job, you backed up client 1 and 2. The end time occurs, client 3 won't get backed up. Good news is client 3 is moved to the front of the list for the next backup.
