Snapshot error 156 failing with bus sharing

[TJN06]

Backups are failing with error 156 i job details i could see the error as "Virtual machine is configured to use a device that prevents the snapshot operation: Device '' is a SCSI controller engaged in bus-sharing..", also i cross checked with wintel team that bus shareing is not enabled for that particualr VM. and also not in disk consoldiation. please update ur findings.

Note: for other VM's with in the same policy backups got completed but only one got failing with the above error.

this is trivial to check, you can ask your VM administration team to either do a VMotion/StorageVMotion and also snapshot the VM with the disk in question. If it works, which I doubt, then there is something not right in NBU. But it's more likely that somebody added a disk from a controller which has bus sharing enabled.
