Status code 83 when using DataDomain OST plugin 2.2.1.1

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has come across this: Using DD880 OS 4.8.1 - DataDomain OST plugin 2.2.1.1 Windows Server 2003 and 2008 - Netbackup 6.5.5
Problem: after uninstalling OST plugin 1.1.4.2 and installing OST Plugin 2.2.1.1 to enable DataDomain Boost for Symantec Open Storage I get status 83 in Netbackup. The message is as follows in NetBackup:
Critical bptm(pid=2156) sts_open_server failed: error 2060046 plugin error
6/24/2010 1:09:48 PM - Critical bptm(pid=2156) failure to open sts for storage server DD880-EDC01: plug-in reports error 2060046 plugin error.

When I down-graded back to OST plug-in 1.1.4.2 everything works fine. I opened a ticket with DataDomain but so far I haven't received an answer.

If I read the Device Compatibilty guide correctly, plugin 2.2 seems to be unsupported on Windows.

If you're still on NBU 6.x, you must use the 32 bit version of the plugin (even on a 64 bit OS with the 64 bit NBU binaries)
