Tape not moving to scratch pool after the expire date of the tape is crossed

HI,

I have strange issue in our netbackup environment. Tape is not moving to scratch pool after the expiry date is crossed and that too the media is in suspend mode.

Netbackup Server OS Version: HP-UX B.11.31 U ia64

Netbackup Version: 6.5.6

Pls find the media info below:

Currently I am expiring the tape manually using bpexpdate command. :(

Can you pls help us to resolve the issue?

Seems the 'Expiration Bug' might be relevant to tape images as well.

Hi,

 

Try unsuspend the media manually. Vault would have unsuspended the media once it expired, but i think because you performed this process manually it didn't get to do it.

 

bpmedia -unsuspend -m MEDIA_ID
