Hi
we are planning to upgrade our NBU appliance 5220 to version 2.6.0.4 from 2.6.0.3.
It is being used as media server and some tape drives are also attached to it.
I have download the patch of 2.6.0.4 on my applaince. It total capacity is 40 TB and used is approx 17 TB.
Please let me know how should I proceed, what are the pre-requisites.

Can't tell you how long it will take, but have a look at :

The link which Reveroo has provided is cover almost eveyting that you need to do
for upgrade you have to have downtime in plan.
use https://sort.symantec.com/netbackup to install and upgrade check list.
all I can suggest before upgrade is to have a fresh catalog backup and case open with support.

I would also recommend to have a case open with partner or support in case of disaster.

Thanks Revaroo & Pritesh.
According to TN:
I just need to execute “Main_Menu > Manage > Software > Install SYMC_NBAPP_update-2.6.0.4-2.x86_64.rpm” only, as we have already downloaded the software to appliance & there is no SAN client in this backup infrastructure. ?
Does this upgrade cause reboot of appliance ?
Any pre-requsite, which I need to ensure prior to upgrade ?
I have been asked to upgrade using IPMI console. Is it possible.?
I tried to connect IPMI port IP using the windows browser, but in "Symantec: Remote Management" console I am unable to find any option to upgrade.
