Our setup is a s below;-
NBU version - 6.5
NBU Master/Media Server :- HP-Unix 11.23 (IA64)
Lotus 8.5.x Client OS :- Windows 2003
Oracle on HP-Unix 11.23(IA64) :- 10.2.0.5
With a tape library attached with the master/media server(HP Unix 11.23)
The current state is that NBU master/Media server is taking backup of Oracle database(OS- HP unix 11.23) in the Tape library, using RMAN script.
Now , we need to take backup Lotus database which in a active-active clustar (both the OS ofthe lotus is same, i.e. win2003).
I have checked the compatability of NBU and lotus.
Its says that NBU minimum is 6.0 for HP-Unix 11.23(IA64). And Lotus 8.5.x requires NBU 6.5.3 (Starts from).
My query is :-
1. Do I need to upgrade the NBU from 6.5. to 6.5.6 or 6.5.8.
2. If we upgrade, does NBU 6.5.8 support HP Unix 11.23(IA64). Is there any challange.
3. Is there any challange for Lotus 8.5 backup using NBU 6.5.
