VCB Alternatives

Hello.

We have been running Netbackup 6.5.3 integrated with VCB 1.5 for a while now.  We have experienced quite a few issues with it so far, to the point that I have been asked to look into alternative methods to backup our Vmware servers.  Using the netbackup client is an option on some servers but not the best solution on others, due to some of them having large RDMs attached (in Virtual mode).

Can anyone recommend me a solution to achieve storage level backup for large data sets ( i.e 1 TB and above).

With 6.5.4 they have expanded support for RDM's on VM's and alternate client backups.

VCB has been nothing but a headache for me as well.  New errors every day.....the bottom line is that we haven't had consistent backups using VCB since the beginning.  So all the benefits of it are taken away by the inability to successfully complete a backup on a regular basis.
