VMware & 6.5.x Client interaction

We have many Win2000/2003 servers which we are in the process of migrating to a VMware environment and have encountered a slight anomaly in the way in which NB 6.5.x interacts with them & were wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem &/or a resolution?
The clients are currently being treated as separate NB clients for backup purposes (not VCB as yet until we have fully tested same).

If we migrate a client & then upgrade NB to 6.5.x, then within NetBackup Management/Host Properties/Clients we cannot successfully interrogate that client. The GUI just ‘hangs’ at “Loading details of selected hosts …”. If it does finally manage to load details, we don’t get all of them (Firewall, Access Control and all Windows Client options are missing).

If we left the client at 5.1.x then we can interrogate the client no problem.

If we create a brand new client directly in the VMware environment and install 6.5.x then we CAN interrogate the client.

Are you on 6.5 or 6.5.1? ESX version?  The vmware guides for 6.5 and 6.5.1 are slightly different, where 6.5.1 uses a vmware proxy server for NBU intergration.  This proxy is the only place you will need to install NBU software for backing up VMs.
