I've been testing VMware host's backups with NB 6.5.1a + VCB on proxy, everything works great! I can backup individual files, full VM image and mapped full VM image. I can restore individual files from mapped full VM image backup or full VM image. NB automatically creates Virtual host on ESX server or cluster, I don't even have to run inventory in virtual center. NB restores VM image to exact place where it was before. BUT... I noticed that NB doesn't backup any snapshot history of VM host. All snapshots created before backup are not included in to the backup. That is a little bid sad.
Does anyone know more about this? Is it technologically impossible? Or maybe Symantec didn't implement this yet and they working on this? I think this feature would be great, because if you have DEV virtual hosts with multiple snapshots it would be good to restore them back in case of emergency.
