What Files / Folders to backup on a Master Server?

I lost a policy this morning and noticed that we;'ve not been backing up our master server (only the catalog), found that if I'd backed up

netbackup\db\class

I could have restored my deleted policy from there

What Files / Folders should you backup on a master server - i'm using 6.5.3.1

Good question....I would say it all depends with your environment. I have a "hot site" that I keep doing a DR restore every quarter or so and if a need something like a policy I just do a DR restore on the lab. I recently discovered  that I was not backing up the hosts file ( a few clients still using this) so you might want to include that in your backups.

Check in your BAR GUI:

Source client= Master & Policy Type=NBU-Catalog
