I'm running NBU 6.0MP4 on Solaris 10. We just added a 1TB Lacie NAS to host some not so important information but would still like a full backup of it at least once a month. The Lacie's config requires a password and we've even enabled the guest account that appears to let you in (from a PC) with no authentication. However, the backup fails with "client connection refused". I've looked into loading Samba on the backup box (both media/master server) and mounting the share and then backup the mount point but thought I'd post to see what others recommend. Looks like others have tried doing it this way and gotten slow performence. I doub't the Lacie supports NDMP so any suggetions? Thanks in advance.
