Write Error during client side deduplication

I am trying to configure client side deduplication for one our servers. NBU 7.1.0.4 - Master running on WINDOWS 2003.

Client is on NBU 7.1. I have opened the ports based on http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO36321

When I run the backup do Pure Disk, the backup fails with Err # 83.

I had enabled the PDplugin log file and it reported the following.

The PD config. file is not present at the client location. Can someone help me on creating that CFG file or if I am missing anything on it.

pd config is missing.. Then it's not configured properly..

I presume you are writing data directly to PureDisk, not MSDP

Also check during this backup, PD doesn't have any maintenance in background, too much busy PD would return with status 83. It's generic error

If PureDisk is in picture then yes, If it's simple NBU only, Then NBU agent would do this for you.

Could you confirm you are writing to PureDisk Storage Server not Media server DeDuplication Pool???

I am netbackup 7.1.0.4 - We dont have to install any PD agent on it.

How do I reconfigure it. Do you want me to reinstall it and then check

We are writing directly to PD Storage server. I have enabled NBOSTPROXY logs and it says the PD Register step fails.

I have logged a case with techsupport and waiting for a response from them.
