Hi all
I have a problem, everybody can help me??
I install NetBackup 6.5 on Master Server with administration local permission, then I create an backup policy to backup SCTV folder of FILE SERVER. I backup it successful.
After I joined Master server in my domain that mycompany.com. I run again backup file then still successful backup however I don't see anything content in SCTV folder.
How do you known. I think that PERMISSION.

Didn't you know this was a DFS-R folder or just forgot to mention it?
'Shadow Copy Components' Object: D:\Document\...
\__DFSR_DIAGNOSTICS_TEST_FOLDER__
This certainly changes the whole situation. You cannot backup the DFS folder while Replication is active. You have two choices:
- Stop replication at the start of the backup using start-notify script and start it again at the end of the backup with end-notify script.
- Backup DFS via Shadow_Copy components.

The NetBackup Client Service on the File Server needs to be started with user id that has sufficient read permission for backups and write permissions for restores. You will need a domain account with local admin rights as Service logon account on the File Server.

I do it by your way. I run NetBackup Client Service on File Server with Administrator of domain permission. But still can't backup it.

Please post your policy config for this backup. On master:
<install_path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bppllist <policy-name> -U
Also enable bpbkar log on File Server. Post this log as an attachment after the next backup.

I had uninstall NetBackup on File Server and Reinstall it with Administrator of domain permission but I not successful backup, so I send information and file attachment that you require.
The below following of <install_path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bppllist <policy-name> -U

I can see in bpbkar log that you ran the Daily (Diff Incr) schedule and that nothing was backed up (0 files, 0 bytes). Does the same happen when you run a Full schedule?
Please double-check the logon account used for the NetBackup Client service on the File Server - the default is LocalSystem - not the user account used for installation.
Please also try the following:
Add a User type schedule to the policy and add an open window to cover the day and time during which you will do the test.
Log onto the File Server using the same account as the logon account for the NetBackup Client Service. Open the NetBackup Archive Backup and Restore GUI. Select D:\Documents in the Backup tab and start a manual backup. Please post results in the View Status tab.
