How to check what Netbackup is using for backup windows client?

hi,

for windows client Netbackup do use the as Microsoft’s Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) after window 2003, eariler to window 2003 its VSP .those are software based snapshots.

read the below white papers to know about teh NBU snapshots.

Please show us one of your policies:
bppllist <policy-name> -L

As well as output for one of your clients:
bpclient -client <client-name> -L

The answers are in the manuals, is here any reason you haven't simply looked this up ?

Try looking in the logs, then you will see ...

I will give you two clues:

1.  The logs would be on the client

2.  The log names begins with 'b'

Now, you need to :

Go and find the names of logs that could be on a client (use google)

Create these logs (Just make the log dirs in /netbackup/logs)

Run a backup

Look through the logs to find the snapshot used

OR 

You could look in host properties in the GUI for the master, it's in there, might have some thing to do with 'open ' files.
