the best way to calculate how many servers i need???

Hi All,

i'm working on a new environment : it contain 100 physical servers 10 of them esxi5.0 ,20 servers w2k8,10 servers w2k3 and 60 servers rhel.they have 2 symantec appliances5220 and san storage .some of these servers contain active directory , iis,exchange,sql and jposs.they have about 200 virtual servers.

I need the best way to calculate or the best practice to define how many master server and media servers in this environment?

hope that i can find the guys who may help me in this.

Only one master server - you can at least have up to 100 media servers. A average Linux based media server with 10GB Ethernet will perform between 15-20TB per 24 hour.
