vmware backup are failing with status code 6.

I am getting below error:

ERR - Error opening the snapshot disks using given transport mode: Status 23

the backup failed to back up the requested files  (6)

what is the trapsport that you are using?

does it SAN or NBD transport?

if SAN did you present all the LUNs to backup host?

if SAN does the port 902 and 443 are communicating though Backup host to Vcenter and ESxi hosts?

show us the failed job detail status?

what is the backup host OS?

what is the Vcenter Version?

Is the snapshot successful ? You can check by taking a snapshot with quiesce file system from the VI Client

The bpvmutil log on the backup host might have clues to what the problem is

Pretty sure I have seen a tech note about this when searching for something else

all clients are running fine for concerned policy but problem is only with one client.

any ideas pls.
