what is the difference between system state and shadow copy components

I'm trying to ascertain the differences and ideally the best practices in regards to back up a couple of windows 2003 servers. Other than an old link to 5.1v documentation I’m having trouble astertaining the best policy directive to use.

I'm somewhat of a newbie to Netbackup. Our site is on release 7.1.

Any advice will truly appreciated.

The Admin Guide I (pp620-) has a section on the directives that you can use & what will be backed up when you use them.

you could just use ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES on it's own & it will do the whole kit & kaboodle.
