Please help. I am trying to restore an image of a Win2k Server and during the last step of the restore when it says retargeting for new hardware I get the following error.

Error EBAB03EE: Operating System API

[RegistryOperations::GetRegistryHandle] RegOpenKeyExW(TARGET_HIVE_SYSTEM\Controlset001\Enum\Root\PCI_HAL,ENUMERATE_MODE) failed. Error 00000002: The system cannot find the file specified.

any help will be greatly appriciated. I really need this image to work.

During the retargeting phase it is not able to properly make changes to both the registry key and the files it reference concerning the HAL. Check to see if this system has a proprietary HAL and for an issue like this you might want to consider opening a ticket with Symantec Technical support.
