BESR on SBS 2003 - Cannot backup to tape

Hi,

I purchased a new Dell T300 with SBS2003 and the agent included BESR 8.5 for SBS. I have installed it but it will not do a backup to tape, only disk. How can I get it to find tape drive (LTO2) and run jobs to tape?

I can't speak to your specific machine hardware & software setup

but the help file from the BESR I have says that it cannot backup directly to tape

& I have to backup to any other drive / path and then have another

program copy the resultant backup image to the tape drive

This is completely correct. BESR does not backup directly to tape. It is also unable to restore from tape.
