BESR restore anywhere with single domain controller

I am wondering if anyone out there has gotten the Restore Anywhere to work with %100 sucess to different hardware when the server you are trying to restore is the only domain controller the network has.  I am trying to roll the client to new server hardware and seem to be running into problems with AD.  I am using the latest build of version 7 , and am using 2003 server standard, with SP1.  Anyone have any insight?  I came across information for version 6.5 that started that Authoritive restores of AD with Restore Anywhere were NOT supported, which is what I am trying to do accomplish here.  I have seen some posts from tech's like myself working with it, but there seems to be nothing in writing for version 7 to indicate one way or the other that it will or won't work.  Most of my clients only have one server, so it is very important i get clarity on the issue.  can anyone from Symantec, or other wise comment on this?  I appreciate any feedback...
