Error E339514F has started rolling in

RBall

Starting this morning I'm getting...

Date: 1/8/2008 10:26:27 AM

Notification Type: Error

Priority: Medium

Description: Error E339514F: The object requested from the host application is unknown: Volume M3389832811Offset63_Volume.

At first I ignored it but now they keep rolling in with no indication as to why. I found a previous thread about it that offered no solution. The only hope offered for it was 7.03

Short of reducing the notification level has anyone found a solution?

Robert

I may better understand what triggered the error to start which is currently occuring hourly. Yesterday, as part of my regular program, I attached a USB drive to the server to move off some critical files for firesafe storage. This is apparently what triggered the problem... though I'm not positive about that.

I tried reconnecting the volume and turning off the reporting, I also am correctly stopping the drive service before disconnecting... the errors keep coming.

RBall,

This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.

I believe this is going to be resolved in BESR 8 version.

Thanks,
