If you feel that you have made adequate backups of this system, and that you have verify the integrity of the backups possibly by restoring the backups made to a test or virtual system, you then may want to consider running a CHKDSK /R from within a command shell in BESR’s recovery environment to detect and correct possible file system errors likely at the root of why we are not able to complete the snapshot of this drive. If you have, and the error persist, and there are no other drive overlay / management software running on this system, or disk maintenance software that could be interfering, see if one or more of the applications use snapshot or volume shadow copying technology that is running on this system. If so see if it is possible to force its use of the Microsoft VSS provider, schedule a reboot, and try your imaging task again.
