i've just installed Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery form Small Business Server Edition but i can't see my autoloader drive and so i can't set up my bakup job on it.
The drive is still correctly installed on my system .
If by autoloader drive you mean a tape drive, Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR), unlike Backup Exec Windows Server (BEWS), does not work ‘directly,’ work with tape drives as an storage medium. BESR can though invoke a BEWS agent (10d and above) to have it send the recovery point images to a tape medium (e.g. disk-to-disk-to-tape).
This is good to know about the disk to disk to tape. Can you provide an explanation of how this gets set up, or where to find this in the documentation?? Thank you, Tom
